User experience plays a crucial role when designing a website. go-globe has more than 10 years of experience in delivering excellent quality web solutions, and knows exactly what it takes to create a website that is not only visually appealing but also retains attention of users.
Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Community Development recently revamped its website for National Cultural Encyclopedia (NCE) with go-globe.
As the name suggests, the website is a huge repository of information on the country’s scholars, authors, creative productions, foundations, libraries, films and photographs. The challenge before us was to present the plethora of content in a way that would excite the users.
Our winning formula was 2-fold: ‘Information First, Design Second’ and ‘the simpler, the better’.
Due to the large volume of articles being created daily, we designed a bespoke publishing module. This assigns workflow for each article to ensure seamless feeding of content on the website. To enhance user experience, editors can also add photos, videos and links to social media. Users are also able to see which articles are trending based on the number of views.
We also created a custom content management module with special template for each page and optimized the site in two languages.
The result is a visually appealing, easy to read, exciting content for the user and is far above the standards of a typical content sharing website.
The site was launched by the Crown Prince of Dubai and has received tremendous response to its design and usability. Click here to view the live website.
