Implementing or integrating ERP [infographic]

ERP integration is the process of using an EPR system for existing workflows and processes established in a company. ERP helps the company to optimize its operations and reduce expenses. Implementing ERP has helped up to 95 percent of companies to improve their overall processes. During a survey, 57% of enterprises that selected ERP solutions chose on-premise solutions over a clould-based approach.

When asked, 64 percent of managers and business owners want to enhance their business performance. They want to achieve this with the core qualities of an ERP system which are, low cost of ownership, useful functionality and features, and ease-of-use. Furthermore, they need to select the right modules. One of the most essential five modules is human resource management.

When integrating an ERP system, you have to look at the details. For example, a sales module needs to offer an overview dashboard and precise contact management other than strong automation functions.

The ERP implementation process includes software installation and transfer of existing data to the new system. Then the ERP needs configuration for your users and processes. And finally, your users need training on the software. However, you have to be aware of the challenges that a consultant can support you with. Managing complexity, acquiring the IT budget, and handling internal resistance are prerequisites for a successful ERP implementation.
